Transit
Delta Public Transit provides public transportation services to the residents of Garvin and McClain counties. The system provides demand-response transit services throughout these counties, which includes door to door transportation in order to meet doctor office visits, social, nutritional, entertainment, and many more transportation needs. In addition, the system contracts with Senior Nutrition Programs to provide daily transit services for consumers. Delta Public Transit cannot transport clients for emergency medical needs. For all emergency medical needs you must contact 911 services. Our system has ADA approved vehicles and fare rates are as follows:
-
$2.50 per stop "in-town"
-
$3.00 per mile "out of town" trips
-
Caregivers for riders needing assistance and children under 3 ride free.
Telecommunications relay services can be reached by dialing 711.
A telecommunications relay service (TRS) allows people who are deaf, hard of hearing, or speech impaired to communicate through a communications assistant (CA) with people who use a standard telephone. ACA relays the TTY (text telephone or telecommunications device for deaf and hard of hearing people) input to the telephone user and types that person’s response back to the TTY user.
